In 1962 we moved to Abbots Leigh about the same time as Derek and Beryl who occupied the house (semi det.) next door.  About 18 months later our daughter was born to be followed 6 weeks later by their first, Mark.  Despite moving away we have kept in touch updating on our families' progress.  Whenever in the area we have visited them and likewise them us - Derek was a very keen campervan owner in which they had many adventures. It was great that we could both celebrate our respective golden weddings in each others company.

Will always think of Derek when hearing Dave Brubeck's Take Five and when seeing Sir Alan Sugar whose expressions are so like Derek's.  He was also very keen on a perfect lawn at Abbotsleigh.
